EMIR was founded in 2013 and is run by Trevor McFarlane. Trevor is a former senior editor for MEA at the Economist Intelligence Unit and a senior contributing analyst at The Economist’s corporate advisory network. Over the last decade he has lived and worked in Istanbul, Doha, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and has become a trusted advisor to regional CEOs, their boards and senior government officials. He is a regular analyst on CNBC Arabia and occasional co-host of Dubai FM’s Business Breakfast radio show.
